The Computational Abilities Knowledge Exchange (CAKE) NetworkPlus supports collaboration and community building across the Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) programme and the UK’s wider large-scale computing landscape. It acts as a central hub, connecting projects, sharing successes and insights, and enabling communities to work together more effectively. CAKE removes the barriers to knowledge exchange. By sharing best practices, tools, and resources, we enable you to focus on connecting, collaborating, and driving progress.

CoSeC is one of CAKE’s partners, helping to share knowledge and keep up-to-date with the latest developments across our communities and how we can better support our staff and collaborators. Together, we run the CAKE-CoSeC EDI Working Group, a collaborative initiative to promote and support a culture of EDI across the UK DRI landscape. Our group aims to deliver tangible, community-driven actions and offering strategic advice on inclusive practices in areas such as communication, recruitment, research, training, and event organisation.
The CAKE-CoSeC EDI Working Group is running a short survey to better understand what is working well, where gaps or challenges remain, and what information, resources and support would be most helpful to the community.
